Jaclyn hill opens the vault
After teasing fans on social media Jaclyn Hill has announced the project she has been working on is a new collection with Morphe. Not the launch of her own brand many of her fans expected. The Vault collection is said to be made up of the shades that didn't make it into the 35 pan palette she released with
Morphe last year. There are four 10 pan palettes called Ring the alarm (the red palette), Bling Boss (the purple palette), Armed and gorgeous (the yellow palette) and Dark magic (the green palette). They will be available from the Morphe website as a set for US$49 or individually for US$15 from June 26th
Huda Beauty is fully cooked!
We've seen a lot of brands bring new base products to the market in recent months and Huda Beauty is getting in on the action. The beauty mogul has revealed her new Easy Bake Setting Powders in eight shades which are said to be "super luxurious" and extremely fine making them perfect for baking. The powders are said to absorb shine, blur the appearance of pores without flashing back. They will be available from the Shop Huda Beauty website from July 2nd
Pat McGrath indulges her skin fetish
Master makeup artist Pat McGrath is expanding an archive favourite, when her limited edition skin fetish highlighters were originally released they sold out almost immediately. Fans of the product and those who missed out the first time around will be glad to know she's expanded the range for her permanent collection. This new iteration includes the Sublime Skin Highlighting Trio US$68, Highlighter and Balm duo in three shades US$55, Lip Balm in five shades US$38 and Buffer Brush US$25 all will be available from the Pat McGrath Labs website on June 21st
Too Faced reminds us we were born this way
Too Faced have been working with YouTuber Jackie Aina to expand their popular Born This Way foundation range making it even more inclusive. Jackie is rightfully outspoken on the fact that finding shades for darker skin tones is all too often a struggle for women of colour. Personally, I think it's great to see a brand like Too Faced acknowledge their shortcomings and actually do something about it. The extended foundation range and their new super coverage concealer will hit US stores on June 26th
Is Ofra Rebranding?
There is no doubting Ofra Cosmetics make some of the best highlighters and liquid lipsticks on the market, the one thing I think has held them back is their packaging which looks a little cheap and nasty. I was really excited to hear that they are planning to rebrand. Some one their new look packaging has already leaked on Trend Mood and if its anything to go by we can expect a sleek white look coming in the near future
Cult Marc Jacobs bronzer is here to stay
I've written about how obsessed I am with the the limited edition Marc Jacobs O!mega bronzer in Tan-tastic in the past, it's been released twice as a limited edition product and fans around the world can breathe a sigh of relief as it been announced that it will now be a permanent part of their line. Available now on the Marc Jacobs Beauty website for US$49
