Beauty Bulletin: Sunday 22nd July 2018
In this week's Beauty Bulletin: KKW Beauty's new classic, Kathleen Lights wants to know your sign, ILuvSarahii has found her perfect match in Dose of Colors, Beauty Blender expands into colour cosmetics and Natasha Denona's Lila gets the mini treatment.
KKW Beauty's new classic
Kim Kardashian's KKW Beauty has revealed their upcoming summer launches. Embodying Kim's overall aesthetic the aptly named Classic Collection launches on the 27th of July and includes a ten pan eyeshadow palette (US$45) four peach cream lipsticks (US$18) in peach 1: light peach, peach 2: pinky peach, peach 3: mid-tone coral and peach 4: burnt red along with four matching lip liners (US$12). There will also be the option to buy the entire collection for US$150.
Kathleen Lights wants to know your sign
Kathleen Lights and ColourPop are at it again, their latest collaboration is inspired by the stars. The palette called The Zodiac (US$18) includes 12 shades one for each star sign, two lux lipsticks (US$7) in What's your sign? a beige nude and Scorpio moon a mauve. Two supernova liquid shadows (US$7) in Astrology a true gold and Constellation a pink champagne and two super shock highlighters in fire a pale gold and on the cusp a champagne. The collection will be available from the ColourPop website from July 26th.
Iluvsarahii x Dose of Colors
Karen (a.k.a.: I Luv Sarahii) has collaborated with Dose of Colors for what I think is a really beautiful collection. The six pan palette (US$35) that offers two matte and four shimmer is really well thought out, perfect for travel and on-the-go eye looks. There are two highlighters (US$28) Sol Mate a pale peach and Bathe a mid tone pink and six lip products including four liquid lipstiks (US$18) Nude Chica a pinky nude, Peachii a peachy nude, Fresa a bright strawberry and Aesthetic a burnt sienna along with two glosses (US$17) Barely There a pink nude and sheer Brillo a clear gloss with gold reflects. The collection will be able from the Dose of Colors website from July 27th.
Beauty Blender launches colour cosmetics
Since launching, Beauty Blender has completely turned makeup application on its head. So I was extremely excited to see that they've taken the leap into colour cosmetics by releasing a foundation. The bounce lquid whip long wear foundation (US$40) will be available in 32 shades and is said to have a velveteen matte finish and feel extremely lightweight. The most interesting thing about this foundation for me is the bottle. Designed to pump into a dish which is part of the packaging making it perfect for application with a sponge.
Natasha Denona's new Mini Palette
Makeup guru Natasha Denona has shrunk down another popular palette, this time it's Lila. Featuring five stunning and all new shades: Poison Berry a vibrant fuchsia matte with a blue undertone, Blue Dahlia a purple with a blue duo-chrome sparkling effect, Raisin a medium cool burgundy matte, Linen a nude champagne metallic and Flint a nude sand matte. Costing a fraction of the original at US$25 this mini palette may well be a bona fide gateway drug!
