Beauty Bulletin: Sunday 10th June 2018

In this week's Beauty Bulletin: Colour Pop's first ever foundation is coming, Kat Von D comes out as an anti-vaxxer, Benefit just wants you to be happy, Urban Decay has a second summer planned, Winky Lux will steal your heart and Too Faced turns 20

Colour pop launches first ever foundation

After the massive success of their No Filter concealers, Colour Pop is extending their line to include foundation (US$12) which will be available in an extremely inclusive 42 shades, three loose powders (US$9) in translucent, banana and deep and pressed blotting powders (US$9) in six shades fair, light, medium, medium dark, dark & deep dark. The foundation is said to be a buildable medium to full coverage and all three products will be available to purchase from their website from the 14th of June.

Kat Von D comes out as anti-vaxxer

In a recent Instagram post Kat Von D announced that she plans to raise her child as a vegan and will be having a natural water birth, with only a midwife and doula present. While they may not be my personal preferences those are her choices to make. What I can't abide is the fact she says she will not be vaccinating her child. You only have to visit your local cemetery and look back 100 years to see the sheer amount of child deaths to understand how modern medicine and vaccines have changed the world. I strongly believe that not vaccinating your child is negligent and tantamount to child abuse, as such I will no longer be supporting Kat Von D or her beauty brand.

Benefit's NEW Hello Happy Foundation

Another new foundation is about to hit the market, Benefit's Hello Happy Soft Blur foundation is said to be sheer coverage which blurs in perfections without hiding your skin. Launching with only 12 shades there has been some backlash with many people saying the shades are not inclusive enough, in response Benefit release a statement saying "We carefully crafted our 12 shades to reach a broad range of skin tones. Among 12 shades, 42% of Hello Happy's shades are Medium-to-Tans, 33% are Deeps, and 25% are Lights...it's a Happy Balance!".

Urban Decay was Born To Run

We just got the Beached collection now Urban Decay is hitting us with a second hit of summer. The Born to Run collection will feature the palette shown above along with three vice lipsticks, three 24/7 glide on eyeliners and a limited edition all nighter setting spray. The eyeshadow palette looks incredible and has such a beautiful combination of colours, it hits shelves in the US on June 12th and I'm really looking forward to it launching here in Australia.

Winky lux Hearts lipstick

How gorgeous are these two-toned heart shaped lipsticks from Winky Lux? The Steal My Heart lip pills(AU$18.40) come in three shades and the dual core is said to give you a just-been-kissed flush. Winky Lux, in my opinion, are one of the most underrated brands, their liquid lipstick formula is my all time favourite and I'm yet to try a product from them I don't like. I can't wait to pick these up!

Too Faced Turns 20

Too Faced are turning 20 and to celebrate they have a collection based on their original products on the way. A 20 pan eyeshadow palette includes the 10 original shades they launched, paired with their 2018 equivalents. They're also reinventing their first 10 lipsticks which are all creamy glitters and creating a new melted metallic liquid lipstick and limited edition better than sex mascara. The collection is due to launch in August.
