Beauty Bulletin: Sunday 27th May 2018
In this weeks Beauty Bulletin: It Cosmetics have some exciting new Australian releases, Revlon launches a limited edition collection, Manny MUA reveals his owned brand Lunar Beauty's first offering, Jeffree Star teases his new palette Thirsty, MAC's latest collaboration is like nothing you've seen from the brand before, Dior has your model off duty look down and Fenty's new products are out of this world.
Bye Bye Breakout launches in Australia
I am so excited about the new Australian releases from It Cosmetics. This week I was very lucky to attend an event for the launch of their Bye Bye Breakout concealer (available in seven shades for $42 from Sephora) which I have been using every day since - you can expect a full review very soon. I feel like It Cosmetics is a brand that often flies under the radar here in Australia, they make so many of my holy grail products. I highly suggest heading into your local Sephora and having a play with their products - you won't be disappointed!
Revlon Color Charge Collection
Can you think of a better way to launch a collection called 'Color Charge' than on a superyacht on the first night of Sydney's Vivid festival of light? Well, that exactly what Revlon did and the new Color Charge collection held up beautifully against the light installations across the city. With 27 products including lip powder palettes, lipsticks, lip glosses, powder and liquid highlighter, eyeliners, lip liners, loose pigments and nail polishes. The line is not only affordable with products priced between $13.95 and $24.95 but includes some really innovative products (like the lip powder palettes I mentioned earlier) and vibrant colours a full review is on the way.
First Look at Manny MUA's Lunar Beauty
Beauty guru Manny MUA has revealed the first offering from his owned brand Lunar Beauty, the Life's A Drag palette will retail for US$45 and includes 14 shades on the 2nd of June. In my humble opinion this palette really does have something for everyone, with six neutrals two foils and six brights there is so much you could do with it. Do you think you'll pick it up?
Jeffree Star Teases new palette
We've got our first glimpses of the new Thirsty palette from Jeffree Star Cosmetics. So far the only shades we've been privy to are Subtle what looks like a neutral brown, Quench a canary yellow and Submerge a teal blue-green. The palette will apparently include 18 shades and the same pan sizes as the Blood Sugar palette and will be launching mid-July.
MAC X PUMA
I really hope this collaboration will be released in Australia. Puma has created three suede sneakers based off iconic MAC lipstick shades Creme de Nude, Lady Danger, and Sin. The sneakers are already available in the US where they retail for US$85 - if these beauties make it to Australia I will be first in line to pick up a pair.
Dior Launches Backstage Makeup Collection
Luxe beauty brand Dior is allowed us mere mortals live out of fashion model fantasies with their new Backstage collection. The massive collection includes a natural finish face and body foundation in 40(!) shades, a glow face palette which has shades to suit all skin tones, contour palette, two nine pan eyeshadow palettes in cool and warm each with a cream eye primer, two brow palettes, nine pan lipstick palette, 10 lip glow lip glosses, eight brushes and two beauty sponges. Fingers crossed we'll be getting these beauties here in Australia
New Fenty Beauty has landed
I feel like every week I have an update from Fenty Beauty, the brand has been killing it lately and their latest releases are no exception. The etherial vibe from their other recent launches continues with three new Killawatt foil freestyle highlighter duos $54, Island Bling 2-1 liquid eye shimmers $38 and two Iridescent lip luminiser trios $46 in Summer Daze and Summer nights all of which are available at Sephora now.
