Beauty Bulletin: Sunday 6th April 2018
In this weeks Beauty Bulletin Rihanna gives us a look at some new products coming to Fenty Beauty, Nudestix finally have foundation, sort of, Kat Von D's 10th anniversary collection is here, Urban Decay wants your powder to go all night, ColourPop have a new matte lipstick formula and MAC's summer collection will have you seeing things.
Rihanna gives us a glimpse of new fenty
When I think of celebrities I'd like to be friends with in real life it's hard to go past Rihanna. She seems like one of the most laid back, non diva like ladies ever. So when she casually started using some unseen Fenty Beauty products in her Vogue 10 minute guide to going out make up video the beauty community collectively started hyperventilating. From the video it looks like there are some new Killawatt highlighter duos on the way (which are my holy grail highlighter formula) along with lip glosses and potentially more.
Nudestix finally have foundation or do they?
Nudestix is hands down one of my favourite brands, I think their products are extremely innovative and of great quality. So I can not wait for their new Nudie Tinted Blur sticks to hit Australian shelves. While technically not a foundation, according to the website they are a "soft-focus and light reflecting mineral stick that creates flawless looking skin by smoothing and blurring the appearance of texture, blemishes, discolorations, lines, and pores". I feel like these are going to be a no-makeup make up staple.
KVD Beauty's 10th Anniversary collection
I have to admit I am anti vault collections. I think it's really rare that you'd like all of the products and almost always I think you'd save money just buy the bits you know you'll use. But the Kat Von D 10th Anniversary vault has me eating my words a little. I am so excited for this collection, while all the products are sold separately I think this is one vault I'd actually use everything from. The palette looks amazing and I love the limited edition gold packaging on old favourites. It's available now from the Kat Von D website and will hopefully be landing at Sephora Australia soon.
Urban Decay all nighter powder is here
The Urban Decay all nighter setting spray is my all time favourite, I also love the all nighter foundation and concealer so the fact they've launched an all nighter powder is rocking my world a little bit. Said to be a weightless powder which instantly makes any foundation totally waterproof for a mattified complexion that lasts all day, blurs pores and imperfections and blocks shine, without dulling your inner glow. You know this one is going to fly off the shelves.
ColourPop launch matte lux lipsticks
ColourPop has a new matte formula for they're incredibly popular Lux Lipsticks which launched with a creme formula last year. The new matte lux lipsticks come in 14 shades and are only US$7 each or you can buy the whole collection for US$84 which is like getting two lipsticks for free. Though unlike the Kat Von D vault I think this is a situation where you're better off buying a few shades you know you'll wear.
Get ready for MAC's Mirage Noir collection
MAC has revealed their new summer collection (it's heading into Summer in the US) Mirage Noir, while I love the concept behind this collection and I think the packaging is stunning for some reason the products aren't really speaking to me. I love MAC and I'm sure these products are great but I feel like this collection misses the mark a little. Just so you know the collection includes two new shades of the Face and Body foundation (one of favourite products from MAC) five bronzers, four individual eyeshadows, five lipsticks and five lip glass lip glosses.
