My Evening Skincare Routine

A few days ago I posted my morning skincare routine, so I thought it right to do a post on my evening routine. These products have really worked for me and I feel my skin has never looked better.

Face Halo

I have cut out makeup removing wipes completely and swapped to using these reusable microfiber pads from Face Halo, I have an entire post on why I made the switch which you can read here. Ultimately, they remove my makeup more thoroughly and as quickly as a makeup removing wipe, but do it without the chemicals (you only need water) and the environmental damage.

Tatcha Pure Camellia Cleansing Oil

Once I've removed my makeup, I like to cleanse my face to remove any residual dirt and oil from the day. I've been loving the Camellia Cleaning Oil from Tatcha, like the Clinique cleanser I use in the morning I find it really cleans my skin but doesn't completely strip it. Tatcha's antioxidant-rich Hadasei-3 complex derived from ancient Japanese beauty secrets to create their products which are great for sensitive skin.

Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Serum

Of all the skincare products I've tried in my life, I think Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum has made the biggest difference to my skin. This stuff really is magic in a bottle. Formulated with AHA/BHA blend including Glycolic, Lactic, Tartaric, Citric and Salicylic acids and raspberry extract. This serum delivers precise chemical exfoliation without the harsh side effects, along with helping to diminish fine lines, wrinkles, discoloration and minimise pores. I swear I saw results overnight and my skin has never been better.

Kate Somerville Wrinkle Warrior Eye Gel

This is like a massive drink of water for your under eyes. Unlike other eye creams I've used, Kate Somerville Wrinkle Warrior Eye Gel is really lightweight and won't cause milia to form, which is a problem I've had with heavier creams. Ingredients like botanical extracts of yeast, plankton, white lupine and alfalfa work to tackle dark circles and puffiness whilst three sizes of hyaluronic acid replenish moisture and plump out fine lines and wrinkles.

Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb

The moisturiser I also use in the morning, Belif's The True Cream Aqua Bomb. I used to use heavy/rich creams thinking they would provide better hydration but I've found swapping to a gel moisturiser has actually improved the dryness of my skin 100% more than creams ever did. This moisturiser contains Napiers Aqua Formula which includes the herb Lady Mantle (often referred to as the women's hydrating herb)  which softens the skin and is easily absorbed (unlike the rich creams which seemed to sit on top of my skin) for all-day hydration.

Drunk Elephant Marula Oil

Not all Marula oils are created equally, and while you can find cheaper versions there's a reason I keep coming back to Drunk Elephant Marula Oil. They cold-press it using a patented process of unheated water extraction, ensuring the oil remains nutrient-dense and stays fresher longer. I've noticed that this oil is smoother and feels nicer than the cheaper versions. Not long after using this oil regularly you'll see a noticeable reduction in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, redness and blotchiness and better elasticity in your skin. It is an absolute must-have.
