I know I said this last month, but I just don't know where the year has gone! I can't believe its already December and we're talking November favourites. I tried a lot of new products this month, so it was hard to narrow this list down. But these are the products I've been swearing by all month.
Urban Decay Optical Illusion Primer
I feel like the Urban Decay Optical Illusion primer is slept on. I haven't heard many people talk about it at all and over the last month, it has become my new holy grail. This stuff genuinely does what it says on the bottle and really does fill in pores, evens out skin tone and makes you look like your IRL photoshopped.
Essence Volume Stylist 18 Hour Mascara
The $6 mascara that sent the internet into overdrive more than lives up to the hype. Last month I was obsessed with the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir. But since getting the Essence Volume Stylist I haven't touched it. This mascara makes you look like you're wearing falsies. It plumps, lifts & defines without flaking or transferring. You can't do better for the price (even if it cost five times more).
So adding this to my favourites is a little cheeky as you can't buy Glossier in Australia. A friend of my sisters' picked this up in New York for me and I will be forever grateful that she did. This powder is phenomenal. It's actually the best powder I've ever used. It keeps shiny skin at bay and blurs pores all whilst looking like skin. Without ever settling in fine lines, getting cakey or flashing back.
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush
I've heard people talk about how good the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour blushes are for years. For whatever reason, I've never picked one up. I finally tried one as it came in my birthday gift set from Sephora and I am kicking myself for not getting on board with these blushes sooner. Mine is in the shade Paaarty which is the perfect nude and it is *so* good. Really pigmented (so go in with a light hand) and it lasts all day. I will definitely be purchasing a few more of these.
YSL All Hours Foundation
Another new holy grail product. This foundation looks absolutely stunning on the skin. It's full coverage without the cake and hides any and all imperfections. Waterproof and transfer resistant this foundation has seen me through the most humid of Sydney days and kept my skin looking flawless. It been a long time since I've been this impressed with a foundation. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Kat Von D Lock-It Setting Mist
I've been getting into Kat Von D Beauty recently and on the whole I'm really impressed with the line. This setting mist is no exception. If you fussy about mists you won't be disappointed. This is the finest I've ever tried and sits beautifully on the skin without leaving droplets or ruining your base. It smells divine - like mint and cucumber which is perfect for a morning pick me up. And all importantly it will definitely extend the wear of your makeup and keep everything locked in place.
Hello Hair Hydrating Mask
I have previous reviewed the Hello Hair shampoo and conditioner - it's still my go to. But I haven't gone into any detail about my love of their hair masks. I have waist length hair so it can take a lot of work to keep it looking nice. My not-so-secret secret are these hair masks. Before any big event, special occasion or when I just feel like pampering myself a little I wack one of these on and the result is beautiful shiny healthy looking locks. I've been especially loving the island escape edition. It smells like a summer holiday and best of all there are no nasties like silicone or parabens.
What have you been loving this month?
