The Beauty Bulletin: Sunday 29th July 2018
I have some big news, this is going to be the last Beauty Bulletin as you know it. Going forward I will be reporting on individual releases as and when they happen and the Beauty Bulletin is going to become a newsletter that combines the week's beauty news. So be sure to subscribe to my newsletter so you can keep up-to-date on all the latest happenings in the beauty world.
In this week's Beauty Bulletin: Pat McGrath launches nine new matte trance lipstick shades, Marc Jacob's new O!Mega gel powder eyeshadows, Becca bring's skincare infused makeup to their line, Fenty Beauty's iconic Trophy Wife killawatt highligher has a new sister and Natasha Denona has a new pore minimising foundation on the way.
Pat McGrath launches 10 new matte trance lipstick shades
There is a lot happening at Pat McGrath Labs. On Monday, New York City-based investment firm Eurazeo Brands announced that it had struck a $60 million deal to become a minority shareholder in the company. Eurazeo's investment brings Pat McGrath Labs' total external funding to $88 million, meaning the business is now valued at $1 billion dollars, surpassing Kylie Cosmetics who Forbes recently valued at $800 million.
I'm still dying to try Pat McGrath's MatteTrance lipsticks, and now looks like a good time as she's released 10 new shades. The new collection includes nudes, berries and reds to suit every skintone. Available individually for US$38, in sets of three for US$95 or a set of nine for US$275 the lipsticks are available now.
Marc Jacobs's new O!mega Gel Powder single eyeshadows
Marc Jacobs Beauty has just launched O!mega Gel Powder Eyeshadow singles. The oversized 3.8 gram pans come in nine shades and three finishes satin, shimmer and matte. According to their website the shadows are said to "feature innovative gel-coated pigments that glide on buttery smooth for intense payoff". They are available from the Marc Jacobs Beauty website now for US$29 a piece.
Becca's new skincare infused makeup
Becca has a few new products on the way, but the one I'm most excited about is the Skin Love Weightless Blur Foundation. Said to be a weightless, medium buildable coverage foundation with a velvety, natural finish that mimics the look of smooth, healthy skin. It is made with Becca's new Glow Nectar Brightening Hydra Complex - a proprietary blend of natural ingredients that help brighten, hydrate and nourish the skin. I don't have alunch date yet, but the foundation will be US$44 an comes in 24 shades.
Fenty Beauty's Trophy Wife has a new sister
Fenty Beauty's Trophy Wife Killawatt highlighter is getting a sister Diamond Ballout. The limited edition shade is an ultra platnum, and 100% of all sales goes to her very own foundation, the Clara Lionel Foundation. CLF supports groundbreaking and effective education and emergency response programs around the world. Likely to retail for AU$50 here in Australia you can shop this product knowing ALL of the money is going to a fantasic cause.
Get Ready for a new foundation from Natasha Denona
A foundation that makes your pores vanish? Yes please. Natasha Denona's new Transformatte Foundation claims to do just that. In a video posted to her instagram, Natasha shows a bare faced model, then the same model who's skin looks much smoother and even in tone wearing the new transformatte fountation. No word on when this foundation will be available to buy but like most product's from Natsha Denona you can expect it will sell out fast!
